ICATT is an innovative software application to support the implementation of the WHO/UNICEF strategy on the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI). The tool provides the possibility to adapt the generic IMCI guidelines at national and sub-national levels, and to develop ICATT-based training courses that fit into various training approaches.

 

This WEB site is designed to help those who already work with IMCI and ICATT or those who are interested to learn more how ICATT can help to effectively implement IMCI. Here you can learn more about the ICATT application, you can see how ICATT can be used to adapt the IMCI guidelines and how it is used for training of health-care staff. This site will provide detailed information and ensure exchange of experiences on the use of ICATT at the global and country levels where ICATT is being implemented. Registered users of this WEB site can actively participate in various Forums relevant to the use of ICATT and its implementation. IMCI course using ICATT in Morogoro, Tanzania, September – November 2009 - 25 Sep 2009

The second test of IMCI distance learning course using ICATT started in Morogoro, Tanzania. The course duration will be 2 months (18 September - 9 November). The course will consist of three tutor– participant encounters and two self-learning periods.

IMCI course using ICATT in Banyumas and Boyolali districts, East Java, July - August 2009 - 31 Aug 2009

After successful testing of the IMCI Computerized Adaptation and Training Tool (ICATT) in a classroom setting in Tanzania and Peru, ICATT was tested for the first time in a two month distance learning course in two districts in East Java from27-29 June until 19 August 2009. The course consisted of 3 face to face facilitator-participant encounters for 1 day and two self-learning periods in between.

First IMCI distance learning course using ICATT, Central Java, Indonesia. June 2009. - 14 Jul 2009

First ever IMCI distance learning course using ICATT started in Central Java, Indonesia. The two month IMCI distance learning course using ICATT started at the end of June in Boyolali and Banyumas districts, Central Java, Indonesia. Twenty participants from 10 health centres from each district participate in the course. Indonesian adaptation and translation of ICATT is used in the course.
